Selling Sweet Corn

The three older boys have had many many days of work this summer.  They are loving the payoff.  They are always counting their hours & calculating their pay.  Figuring out what paintball gun to buy (their latest obsession).  Then there’s the twins, sulking because they don’t have money to buy something.

Finally a break!!! Selling sweet corn.  These two have been working so hard (lots of help from their brothers & cousins)…

This is the only picture I’ve gotten so far of them.  Too cute.  The first day they were so excited….sat out there for hours but were so discouraged. Not one customer!!!! We finally have it figured out…the busiest time is between 4 & 5 pm.  And mom had to help a little…good old facebook to get the word out.  Yesterday morning they went to pick the corn for the day’s sales & I had to send them back out 4 times to get more.  They had a successful day.  Counting up their sales with big smiles…”we’ve got to get to Scheels” one of them blurted out.  Sounds like a Camden statement.
