I love everything about this adorable vintage makeup box.  It was so EASY & FAST to redo.  Once I put little Maggie down for bed & the big boys left for a football game, I set the two twinsies up with a movie & away I went with this treasure.

I ripped out the lining.

lined it with a few staples some extra fabric I had left over from a previous project.

I had found a yard of this fabric on clearance for 44 cents at Hobby Lobby. It's the same fabric I used for my chair redo in a previous post. I stapled the fabric over the lining.

Once I was able to get the fabric all stapled into place, I used a hot glue gun to finish it off with this beautiful trim.

This is the top part of the box completed. As I went I took out staples that the trim didn't cover. The glue is holding it in place.

All finished! This is so cute for a coffee table or side table. Or office for incoming/outgoing mail. Too cute!
