Keeping up on laundry is such a daunting task sometimes. I feel a sigh of relief when I throw in my last load of laundry (so I think it’s my last load). Only to run downstairs to the boys bedroom or bathroom and find the pile of clothes they took off last night before getting in the shower. Ugh…so then I mentally recheck myself…”okay one more load” .
It’s not that I actually mind doing it, it’s just that there is always so much of it. I like to get things done in a hurry & check it off of my list. Unfortunately getting laundry done in a hurry is not possible with only one washer and one dryer. We make it work but I would love to get a second washer and dryer one day.
Most people would think to use laundry baskets for all of this clean laundry I speak of…but for me. No Way!!! I NEVER use laundry baskets for laundry. You know why? Yup because it will sit clean in the laundry basket for days as I pilfer thru it looking for this or that. “Why?” I would ask myself. “Why not just put it away?”
I decided quite some time ago that laundry baskets should NOT be used for clean laundry.
Here are some uses for laundry baskets: carrying dirty laundry, emptying your car when cleaning it, carrying the packaged dinners out to the field, gathering last minute stuff around the house that we weren’t able to put away before a trip so that I can come home to a clean house, carrying snow gear while going skiing with the kids. Oh there are so many uses.
