Little Black Table
In my previous post Digging for Gold I showed how I was able to lighten up and decorate my front room by changing a few things and moving my furniture around. Sometimes this can be tricky when you have dark furniture. Along with my sofa & love seat that are dark brown, I also have this black table. We use it all of the time. I love having. It’s so handy when the kids want to play a game or put a puzzle together. So I didn’t want to get rid of it, but it really didn’t go any more with my whimsical & shabby look.
It’s still bare from when I cleared this room of Christmas decor.
I really didn’t feel like painting it either…so… to go with my whimsical, light & shabby look I bought a table cloth to cover it.
This table sits right behind my love seat in my front room.
And then loaded it with some more items I found in my bin, some new flowers, a book/box and another bottle I found at Hobby Lobby.
I had seen a beautiful little vase of flowers at Hobby Lobby but decided to make my own. Even though they have GREAT deals on most things…you still can’t beat doing some things on your own. Especially when you can get the stems of flowers half off.
Turned out pretty good.
The box that looks like a book. So pretty with the embossing.
The other beautiful bottle I found at Hobby Lobby.
A few candle holders…Gold!!
Finished!!!
